The VR missions wouldn't have benefited from any visual upgrade... VR missions use basic graphics. Anyone who plays TTS usually has played them anyway. TTS is al about the main game, is still the only updated version of the original MGS game, and still sells for £30 to £60 on ebay... in fact they are selling like hot cakes now the HD collection released with no MGS1. I wouldn't give up my copy for any money. I still play the original, but I also play TTS as it is amazing.

Except that isn't really true though, is it? Check IMDB for the English voice casts of the 2 games. It's the same cast. This bullshit came from the fact that Kim Mai Guest changed her accent for Mei Ling from the rather poor Chinese American to a more or less full American accent. Apart from that we have David Hayter, Cam Clarke, Jennifer Hale, Paul Eiding, Debi Mae West, Rob Paulsen, Renee Raudman, Patric Zimmerman, Peter Lurie ... shall I continue?

@GhibliFan1 except that most of the voice actors switched between MGS and TTS.
If you grew up with MGS1 on the PSX you'd know why.
Also; two buttons to answer codec calls. wtf.

Nothing wrong with Twin Snakes, it's fantastic... a cross between MGS 1 and 2. And it really didn't kill the original MGS game. Wait, just let me check that to be sure... no, it's still there on my shelf, very much alive and well.

@dadkwashere actually...remaking it would sorta kill it. I mean look at The Twin Snakes remake.
