Take heart in the fact that your'e not alone in that feeling. It's like a slow march to a huge cliff and only a few can see it or want to because they know history has been here before and where it led. I'm not sure what to do myself and also feel powerless.

@TheSerbification And hopefully the world tour is nearly over. It's not that the US and the almighty Dollar are such great ideas, but the EU and the Euro are far worse. The sooner we're rid of this corrupt Brussels cabal the better.

@historypoliticsbb You're right. Odd feeling isn't it? Talk too laud and people will accuse you of being nothing better than a conspiracy theorist. Try to convince people and there's a danger of panicking everyone. I've been around and following the news a lot longer than you, since the 1960s to be precise. This is the most dangerous time the so-called civilised world has seen in my lifetime, and that includes the cold war. As the Chinese say, we're living in interesting times my friend.

@G58 Sums up my feelings exactly. Following political events by the day as I have done for the past 2 years really is very depressing. We are on the precipice of something catastrophic and we are completely powerless.

Unfortunately Dan, we're all just fleas on the gigantic turd factory that is the EU. It's about to take a huge dump on the whole world. I wonder if this is what it felt like just before WW1 and WW2? There may not be actual military war as we know it, but there will be economic war. It's inevitable. Paying for the privilege of being repeatedly shat upon is very unpleasant. It's time we stopped.
