  • @pooch332 im sure you are aware of this but the s1 e-type at the beginning of its production was made with the 3.8l 6cyl engine then moved on to the more power full 4.8l which was used in the s1 and the s2 e-type's by the time the s3 e-type came along they had to make a bigger engine to cope with the extra wait ( the 5.3l V12)

    the reason the motor started up so well was because the fuel pump had forced the fuel thought the system

  • i started it to drive it out the garage but i didn't give it enough time to run up to temp. i suppose you have an e-type do you ?

  • I was offered a really nice E-Type for £1500 about twenty years ago but turned it down,what a plonker,if only I could have looked into the future.Live and learn.

  • Ah the E-type Beautiful, fast, comfortable smooth and problematic.

  • i turned one down for 2k !!!!! must have been bllody mad .
