Europe, 1916. Baron Manfred von Richthofen (MATTHIAS SCHWEIGHÖFER) is, at the age of just 24, the crack pilot of the German aerial combat forces a legend in his own time, a hero at home and a man both feared and respected by the enemy, including Allied Forces Canadian pilot, Captain Roy Brown (JOSEPH FIENNES). Von Richthofen and his fellow officers, Lieutenants Voss (TIL SCHWEIGER), Sternberg (MAXIM MEHMET) and Lehmann (HANNO KOFFLER) see their duels in the sky as tactical, almost sportsmanlike, challenges that, at least at first, obscure their view of the horrors of the battlefields below.
Hate all the Canadians claiming how fierce we were. Yes our participation in the wars in neglected and we showed some hella spirit taking Vimy but you cant say one nation was more brave, all men fought for their countries and their lives and were equally scared shitless in war.

@meequalssmart I don't want to turn this into an argument, but you should really start studying war history in a nonbias way like most Americans do.

@meequalssmart No I didn't ask them, but if you ask any real historian they'll tell you. In World War One the Canadians fought so intensly that the Germans nicknamed them storm troopers for the way they fought. In World War 2 Hitler HIMSELF was afraid of the Royal 22nd Regiment because they'd hang dead SS soldiers from telephone poles, or cut their heads off, stuff like that. Canadians took back a lot of Holland, Italy and Belgium, and were put at the front of the allied advance into Germany.

@spitfire690 oh no. i misread your original comment. i thought one of your commas was a period, so i thought you were asking who did more than any other country in both world wars, in which case, i answered the united states. but id probably have to say there was a 4 way tie between the us, britain, germany, and russia. and uhhhh, how would you know the germans feared the canadians the most in both world wars? did you ask ww1 and ww2 vets who they feared? i dont think so.

@meequalssmart Yes...The United States...It's rather sad that they completely shove Canada, their closest and best ally, aside and act like Canada never did anything, when we have...We've done a lot more, sure we may not have a huge military, but every war we've fought we've won. In both world wars Canadians were the most feared by the Germans...

I wonder if they'll show the dog fight with Canadian pilot Billy Bishop...Doubt it, because thanks to Americans, the world doesn't want to see anything about Canada, who did more that any other country in both world wars... :(
