Why do people think that the American Power Rangers are the original, they are not. The Japanese ones are the original. Yes, Trini's original counterpart is actually a male, Trini is the American remake of the original, who Saban entertainment made into a girl. I guess it's because yellow was more of a girls color back in the day.
