  • For the information of all the piano lovers both these pianos had both been condemned by my piano tuner as untunable and unmendable due to the pins and frame all being too old and worn. I came in to posession of them when I took over a pub . I tried to give them away for free for over 6 months in the local paper and on freecycle but no one wanted them . So we did a piano smash. Each person doing it paid an entrance fee and we raised over £200 for cancer reasearch uk.

  • Even though it was untunable, i still think the one on the right looks beutiful. At least keep in your living room or something

  • a piano has her own heart and soul, each piano is carefully and masterfully crafted by great piano builders, they are works of art, well even though it's hurting to watch a piano being destroyed, i'll take the reason as a consolation, but remember each musical instrument ever made is like an instrument of man towards the holiness of GOD !!

  • mwahahahaha all these pianos are being smashed up o the beautiful sound of wood vs mallet and the big smashes and crashes of the keys AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHMWAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA EVIL MAD ME AHHHAHHHHHHAHAHAHHA!!!

  • @timtomnow Nah, you just like breaking things.

  • A lot of those old English uprights had a lot of good veneer, but are otherwise not structurally worthy of rebuild, and had poorly designed birdcage actions. The iron is worth recycling, and there is hardware to grub. The keys are often ebony wood, and ivory. There is copper in the strings, brass in the pedals, and lead in the key sticks worth tapping out. Otherwise, there is a lot of firewood in them. If you want to restore an antique, please consider restoring a neglected American piano.

  • This is disgraceful!!! I can't believe what I've just been put through, part of me is sad thinking about my first piano which broke moving house. The rest of me is thinking: THERE JUST PIANOS! get in the spirit of the sponsership money raised for charity, and also the simile of cleaning up the community at the end!! Oh and fair play to the actors whom I bet were not paid in any way for the making of this film. You lot are just a miserable bunch of whiners, lighten up for the love of God!!!
