  • Professors generally don't see their job as facilitators; they seem to assume K-12 schools are structured to instill the value of lifelong learning (the burden is on overworked teachers). But I don't think the fault lies with faculty (most of whom aren't trained to teach). Students may want to truly engage, but they lack time and end up settling for meeting requirements, especially when juggling 3-5 classes, a job, and other activities. What's ideal for both sides requires more systemic change.

  • this is a good vid IMO.

  • The 1st video was way better.

  • This one is a bit fast. It's hard to read some of the text.

  • I guess it depends on how you are I like to go to my university classes and meet witch my lectures face2face and I usually get mad when the cancel classes but it's probably because I'm wheelchair bound and studding is on of the few occasion I get to socialize witch other's. Interesting video :+fav: and subscription

  • Very excited

  • Hurp durp, I feel like everything in college is being spoon fed to me, but not nearly as bad as grade school. And my college is well known for the students it produces. What's sad is that my future employers will think a spoon fed college student is brilliant, or good enough to be trusted with high end projects without ever knowing what's really being taught. =/
