The time and patience required is very intriguing.
Do you have any tips or suggestions for a newcomer to painting with oils such as myself ? I could use all the tips I can get, I really enjoy it but I feel I'm lacking something.

When I start a painting I can work for about eight hours for two days. Then I start glazing colors on top of each other and I can only work for a couple of hours. Each glaze must dry befor you can put more paint on. When the painting is almost finished I may be working on it for half an hour a day. Most paintings take from 36 to 42 hours but it may take months to complete a painting.
