Mirela: The Lost Orphan

When Television Presenter Natalie Pinkham went to work in a Romanian Orphanage in her University summer holidays back in 1999 she was warned of one thing... don't make personal connections with the children as the separation will be too painful when you go back home. But she did, and the special bond she developed with a 3 year old girl called Mirela meant that leaving her in the squalor of the orphanage to come back to England has haunted Natalie ever since.

Now, 11 years later she wants to go on a journey back to Romania find out what happened to her, discover how the country has evolved and whether little Mirela even survived the impossibly harsh state run orphanage system.
