Pizza Express, on the competition:

"What is The Big Audition with Jamie Cullum?
We're putting the call out to every high street in the country, looking for real music talent, to give someone the chance to launch their music career.

The competition is open to everyone. Whether you're a singer or a musician, a solo artist or in a band, this could be your big break. Whatever you're into, from rock to pop, folk to rap, we want you to share your talent with us.

Our love of live music goes back 40 years to when our founder Peter Boizot opened the PizzaExpress Jazz Club in London. Jamie Cullum got his big break playing there and now he's back to help us find the next big name in live music.

"Offbeat South from Croydon and South London have been crowned the winners of The Big Audition with Jamie Cullum at the live final hosted in PizzaExpress Kensington Olympia restaurant. The 18-21 year olds beat off stiff competition from over 7,500 hopefuls as the public and celebrity judging panel backed the band for success.

Following in the footsteps of Jamie and his contemporaries like Amy Winehouse, Norah Jones and Sting, Offbeat South will be performing a special three night residency at the iconic PizzaExpress Jazz Club in London during January."
