A full 8 min+ unedited clip of one hymn (?) at Evensong at Ely Cathedral. I do not know what it is called. (First min a bit duller picks up after a min or two)
As the Cathedral was about to close one evening, I sat near the front of a mass of empty pews. I started filming views from where I sat whilst keeping the camera going to record the music.
Whilist not eveyones cup of tea, I think many will love this clip. Lovely singing (from an amazingly small choir) with the atmosphere of Ely Cathedral to boot.
The visuals are a bit hit and miss as I did not want to move from my spot when the singing began and kept the tape going whilst panning from my seat. Views of the choir mixed with shots of the stained glass windows and up into the main tower.
Recorded on 18th August 2010
The solo tenor does a superb job, as does the choir.

It's the newly formed girls choir, directed (I think) by Oliver Hancock.

Anthem: Strengthen Ye the Weak Hands by William H. Harris. The beginning tenor solo (The Lord hath created medicines out of the earth; and he that is wise will not abhor them.) and then on to the full title bit. Suitable for St Luke's Day, as patron of physicians, surgeons etc. (18 Oct).

Sounds more like an anthem to me, although I have to admit defeat on which one.
