Amen, brother. I don't think he played guitar well at all, but he influinced me and countless others. I think he was a complete idiot to waste his life that way, and I miss him.

Truly romantic pathos, held together by a bottle of Vodka. Along with Ennio Morricone I want this played on my 200th birthday. I will live a very long time!

@erictheviking871 ps I'm not giving you shit though "erictheviking" In fact, I believe you to be TRULY an EXCELLENT Catalyst of Discussion...You get everything ALL RILED UP! Bless YOU! YOU ROCK for your own reasons! Thanks for drawing up Voice- for making us come up and out from too much "lying about" in drab and dull commentary..to be instead ALL FIRED UP! SWAK!!!!
Rolling Stones influenced? Hell yeah.
Wannabe? Hell no. He took what the Stones did and reinvented it. Faster, leaner, gnarlier. He bridges the Stones to punk rock.
And he's a fan-fucking-tastic songwriter.
By your logic, Jagger is just a Muddy Waters and Buddy Holly wannabe. If one generation of bands didn't influence another, music would get nowhere at all.
So let's all be glad that we had the Rolling Stones, New York Dolls, and Johnny Thunders.
