@ninelivecat You should have said. "Learn to spell. It's you're, not your. Learn to punctuate.

Tail end of real rock 'n roll - Cars, Police, Steve Miller Band, Blondie, Joan Jett ...

All I said originally was that I liked the song

@kja427 Not So; 1978 and 1979 (The Cars and Candy-O) were memorable years with the songs that came off those albums. They became over produced as time went on.

Ha ha...I remember in June or July of 1978, in Va. Beach, this new band the Cars was playing at a small club in in Va. Beach called The Rogues Gallery. The concert was sponsered by the local radio station FM 99, so the tickets were 99 cents. I remember myself saying, "The Cars"? what a dumb name, they won't do anything! I am glad that I was not the A & R person for the record co.! I love that band now! Incidently, I wound up moving to Woburn, MA., the same town they came from!

In 1978, it was a little soon for The Cars to have success. They were appropriate for The 80's,but not The 70's. That's my belief.

I should sing this song at my bestfriend's wedding lol.

one day i was in "cars mode" and playing a bunch of their songs. my 19 year old son went on telling me how horrible our 70's, 80's music was. so could you imagine the terror on his face 2 hours later when he realised he was walking down the hall and singing this outloud in front of me? haha hooked.
