Both are sweet but UI'm gonna have to vote SLO on this one.

Hey man, love your videos. Solid, no-nonsense... You're lucky to be able to do the side-by-side comparisons the rest of us can't arrange. And a damn good player as well. We are glad to find videos like yours. Keep 'em coming!

I like your videos. You do decent demos of amps and play pretty nice. I only wish I could see a video of yours where the audio is not captured by the camera mic. Do you think that maybe you could do a miced amp demo comparison? (sm57 would do)
Was the Einstein on the stiffer/tighter side as far as feel, or more spongy? Or somewhere in between? I'm looking for a high gain head that has a nice spongy feel and is somewhere between the mesa and marshall camps. Nice bass with marhsall cut and nice low mids. Anything you've come across fit that bill?

@TheUnclesidandthegay That's kind of hard to answer, since people's opinions on "stiff" and "spongey" are different. I'd say the Einstein was right in the middle. It definitely wasn't real stiff, but it was stiff enough for palm mutes and stuff. Leads felt great on it. It seemed to get tighter as the volume went up too. It was more spongey at home levels.
As far as spongey feel, the Bogner and Budda stuff seems to have that in spades!

SgtThump, I know you've sold all your amps, but I thought I just watched this video for the first time. Well done, as all your amp demo vids have been. Not too much shredding, mostly chords. IMHO, it's easier to hear an amp's tone with chords. Also, Diezel sounds a bit "wider" than SLO, which, like my Hot Rod 50, has a hair more "focus." To me, the clean/crunch channel on the SLO makes the open chords sound more jangly in comparison to the Texas channel on the Diezel. Thanks again!

@pseudmaged Thanks man! I agree with you about being able to "hear" the amp more with chords and stuff, rather than shredding. I hate amp demos where guys are just playing 100 notes a second. They all sound the same to me that way.
The Diezel is more "hi fi" sounding to me than the SLO. Hard to explain, though. Both amps ROCK!

if you had to choose one of them, what would you do?

@jakial That's tough! For flexibility, I'd go with the Einstein for sure. That's a very flexible amp that can cover any styles of music. The SLO is no slouch, though. It comes down to preferred tone at that point, so everyone could have a different opinion on which amp they like the most.
