I always though prosthetic eyes were spherical.

Thank you!!

I have an implant under my prosthetic eye which fills in most of the empty space, so there's not a lot of room for water to pool up!! I keep the prosthetic eye in 99% of the time anyway, even when showering. It's also a lot more comfortable (normal) having it in, rather than out!!

@GEOCACHINGJEFF If you take it out to go swimming, doesn't water get in the eye socket? Does it feel weird when stuff gets in there? Is it closed off inside? By that I mean, if water got in there for example, would it just pool in the socket and pour out when you tilt your head down, or could it go all the way into your head?
Sorry to ask so many questions, I hope I'm not being too nosy. Please feel free to tell me to sod off if I am. :)

@GEOCACHINGJEFF Cool. I read in the comments section that you're cancer-free now. Congrats!

Yes. It feels just like a real eye.
-
@GEOCACHINGJEFF Wow, you sleep with it in?
-
I probably wouldn't go swimming with it in, but I'd do just about anything else. The prosthetic eye cost around $2,500...so I don't want to lose it!!

Cancer free!!!!!!!!!
Do you get eye infections if you take the fake eye out and put it back in if your hands are dirty?
