@eeanneli Tourettes Syndrome is way more than a tic disorder. Possibly not as many people know this because the tic part is the part that the public really understands. In the US Dept health and human servicesBrochures there is a booket on Autism. Page 3. it talks about Tourettes Syndrome. Most of these booklets also speak about the Comorbids, associated disorders that accompany Autism, Aspergers, Tourettes etc. My son has TS, my neiece has Autism and my father had schizophrenia. booklet is free

@ACEMOM2010 as far as i know its not on the autism spectrum its on the tic spectrum also DSM and ICD keep them completely seperate
I am an audio autist. I have barely any visual memory but I can work very well with words. Most autistic education is aimed at visual learners and many so called experts don't even realise or acknowledge that we exist.

@eeanneli I wonder why they keep them so different. I think the tic portion of Tourettes is like the portion of Autism that has the child with a blank look on thier face. You know what i mean? Like what is the main common characteristic of glancing at someone that has Autism and Glancing at someone that has Tourettes Syndrome. little or no emotion on the face? Tics? Yet we know this is not what Autism and or Tourettes is all about. My son also has OCD thought disorder adhd learning disabilities
