"The religion which has introduced civil liberty is the religion of Christ and His apostles...to this we owe our free constitutions of government." - Noah Webster
"We recognize no Soverign but God and no King but Jesus!" [April 18, 1775] John Adams and John Hancock

MANY MORE QUOTES LIKE THIS: "It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians not on religions, but on the gospel of Jesus Christ! For this very reason, peoples of other faiths have been afforded asylum, prosperity, and freedom of worship here." Patrick Henry

Christians always say our laws are based on the Ten Commandments. Yet only three of the commandments are laws. That alone should be enough to drop this silly idea that America was ever a Christian nation.

@marcomx323 It's because it's the Christians that are always trying to push their beliefs off on other people...such as denying gays marriage, women the right to abortion, etc. They never just go live their lives based on their own principles. They try to force everyone else to live by them, too. That's why they're targets. The Muslims, Jews, Buddhists, etc aren't trying to take others' rights away. It's always the Christians.

LOVE this. I'm so glad it's back up. The truth always, always eventually comes out.

America sure was founded on Christian principles. The Bible was actually tought in All American Schools!! Christians came to the U.S. to avoid presecution. Christmas and Easter are pagan celebrations. America did not aprove of mixing pagan practices with Christianity. If you look into the Gangs of New York history you will find that, that is why there was so many bloody streets; due to the conflicts with Catholics and Christians. The Catholics were once Christian. See 'A Woman Rides the beast'.
