56 Gallon Column Setup: A Planted Tank Journal

This video journals the setup of my 56 gallon tank over the course of around 2.5 months. The project was to replace a 20 gallon tank I had in my bedroom, but was never very happy with. I picked up the tank on sale at Pet Smart. The Fluval G3, the E series heater, most of the fish, and primary piece of driftwood I got at an incredible price from The Aquarium (LFS in Knoxville). The substrate was ordered online. This video was filmed by my daughter Karagen and myself. The music was composed by me with Garage Band for the IPad. The video was edited with Sony Vegas Movie HD Platinum.

your video inspired me!!! I really like it, I just bought a 56 gallon column tank, got it for ~150 just the glass, gonna build stand and hood. I hope I can get a sweet piece of central drift wood like yours!

Hi...when you bought the tank...was the middle bridge a little curved downwards? Mine is and am not sure if its supposed to be like dat or if it will even out with the pressure of the water...i just got it.....

@edgarczrs - Sorry if I replied already but yes mine does dip in the middle a little bit. Im not sure why its there as it doesnt seem to really support anything.
