Yet another wonderful video :) I've been wanting to experiment with some image transfers, but would like to do it in my art journal. Do you think this is possible? Or does a gel transfer require a sturdier background such as canvas or wood, etc.?

@SOpacugirl i did a search...it is similar. but has other things in it and it sounds like toxic stuff....look on ehow. i am thinking rubbing alcohol will work but may have to be the stronger one.

@blancha1 you can make copies of old photos with toner based printers,,,not ink jets!...go to Kinkos or a copy store ....those will work i am told

Excellent video !!! Question: Is it possible to use old photos I have with this technique?

this technique works particularly well with the kind of material that old magazines are covered with --as it is not very colourproof and can easily be transferred...with old photos it may not work as well... as that is usually much heavier and different coating

Thanks for this great video. Alot of times I'm stumped about what you use for the background. Question: What is the type of gel medium that you use? I see the brand is Golden but they have about 5 different ones at our craft store.
