Hey guys thanks for tuning back into clevver movies, Im your host Tatiana carrier and ive got the latest on the fast and furious franchise!

Its looking like Jason statham wants to hop on the fast ride and join the franchise that has had fast fans coming back for years to watch their favorite racers in action!

According to indie wire, universal wants to keep the fast going and twitch reports that the studio is looking for another action star to lead the thrill ride...and that man, is Jason statham. And apparently they will be shooting fast 6 and fast 7 in eurpoe, starting with Germany and who better than the british babe statham to get behind the wheel in his own stomping grounds?

We may be getting ahead of ourselves because nothing is set in stone, but I for one think it would be great for the franchise to switch it up with a fresh perspective. While we don't know who will star, or where the franchise will go with the next story line, one thing is for sure, Fast and the furious 6 should hit theaters may 24 2013 and we cant wait!

no. jason statham is my favorite actor for his simplistic yet gritty and old school style. i don't see him fitting in with this young new franchise. he's great on his own and just won't match up with the attitudes of the other actors or the atmosphere created by these films.
