I should have say, in 2002 Coca Cola and Fedex replaced existing ballclubs, Pop Cola and Tanduay.

this is the only time the PBA add two expansion teams, Pepsi and Pop Cola in 1990, in 2002 both Coca Cola and Fedex replaced existing ballclubs.

Pepsi and Pop Cola were the PBA's expansion teams in 1990. There was a so-called dispersal draft so that the new teams could avail of quality veteran players.
