The was the final product from my Masterclass project at Bournemouth University set by the Moving Picture Company (MPC). The brief was to research, design and implement a cloth solver. In all it took about 3 months, alongside other projects at University and Christmas halfway through!
It was written in C++ with openGL for display and SDL for window management and user interaction. It is capable of loading a mesh from an OBJ file along with a texture, a cloth stiffness texture and a list of constrained vertices.
All the cloth simulation paramaters can be adjusted. Gravity, wind, basic air resistance, friction against the ground and friction against the collision spheres are all taken into account when simulating.
