FDR did not save the Brits. It was a team effort. The Brits defeat the German airforce with The Battle of Britain. Their victory enabled the US to establish a massive military base in the UK which eventually lead to D-day and the liberation of Europe.

@gothomus0 Savage insinuated that the caller said both that a) only a liberal could've saved America, and b) that the caller supported internment camps. Please point out to me, with specificity, what information I am missing that would lead to either ridiculous conclusion. No matter how many "therefores" Savage throws into his rabid rants, his conclusions are pretty consistently in conflict with the basic laws of logic. This was a textbook example.

We didn't save you, but we helped you survive. And no, Germany couldn't have crushed America. The U.S. literally supplied the entire British armament and logistics post-Dunkirk. We had the greatest industrial capacity of any modern nation. We are the nation that put over twelve divisions in Europe per month during World War I. We single-handedly took down the Japanese who had the strongest navy back then. The German armada would never have made it to the Eastern Seaboard.
