@hablerz The war on trees is a mixed bag. We've have some major successes in the amazon in recent years, but victory is slowly slipping away in the US and Europe. Global warming and the pine beetle might lend us a helping hand. An emerging threat is e-readers, which promise to do away with dead trees as an information storage medium. I suggest we urgenly develop octuple-ply toilet paper technology.
