  • @robertgift Yes, they are purposely coordinated.

    That box with two lamps is the direction indicator Japanese crossing signals have; they tell people in which direction the train is coming from in the form of an arrow.

    It can be seen in action for as long as the signal is active; it's that continuously red light below the flashing ones.

    Are the blinking lights and electronic bell purposely coordinated?

    Seen at 1:12, below the (o) lamps, what is the gray box with two round objects?
