Baptism is a sacrament of the Christian faith that symbolizes Jesus's death and resurrection. The submersion under water is a Christian's death to sin and the emerging is the resurrection to new life with Jesus. On Easter Sunday 2008 the Mars Hill Church Ballard campus baptized 120 people as part of the 5 Easter services. We captured each of these baptisms on video and present this clip. I think that scripture is being taken out of context. Christ isn't saying "Everyone, go out and baptize ONE ANOTHER" he's commanding us to BE baptized. Definitely a difference there. Christ also teaches us: "Not every one that saith unto me Lord Lord shall enter into the kingdom of heaven, but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven" (Mat. 7:21-23). This means that there are definitely proper things that we have to do to enter into the Lord's presence.
And he said to them, "Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. - Mark 16:15-16
I think this is great, buy by what authority can those men baptize the others? I mean, Christ traveled all the way to the River Jordan so that John the Baptist could baptize Him, because John had the authority to do so. Not anyone can just baptize another, and a person cannot receive the authority by going to school for x-amount of years; it must come from God.
