  • do you know how it would work with the mirror screen protector?

  • A mirror screen protector will fit, probably not with gelaskins though. It will still watermark though.

  • the case does work with gelaskins Jeff! I had one on when i first got my defender.

  • Yeah, it makes for a nice tight fit, I kinda like it, it makes the phone feel really secure in the case.

  • Nice. Was it hard to put that skin on the back of your iPhone?

  • The GelaSkins are a little harder to put on because they have the sides that require really good alignment, but DecalGirl is an easy install, just takes a little patience.

  • ok first off if your buying an otter box for what its meant for it shouldnt matter if there are watermarks and i could give two turtle shits if the BACK of my phone gets little scratches. so let me put this the easy way! if your buying an otter box to look cool, than your an idiot!

  • OMG this was such a HUGE help. im getting ready to buy one and i didnt want to have to take my anti glare screen protector off incase i ever want to change cases and to know it actually HELPS, i am SO thankful i found this!

  • This method works. I installed an AT&T Anti-fingerprint/Anti-glare screen protector on my iPhone 3G and I have no watermarks with my Otterbox Defender case. I am very pleased with the results.

  • Great video thank you...this does seem to be the best solution to the water mark dilemma. The baby powder trick seems like only a temporary fix.

  • I'm going to have to buy one of those anti glares... also, I'll have to call you a liar if you tell me you're not Swordsman75! I loved your BC2 coverage.

  • a lot of people don't understand this, but if you have one of those clothes to clean your glasses..it works to get rid of the watermarks too.

and so does a tissue, the lint keeps it from sticking.

  • I just did the same thing today and now I'm stuck with the granularity issue now. It will have to do until i figure out another fix. I wonder if there's any other screen protector that wont have this issue.

  • man alot of people don't no this but tissue will fix the problem easily just blot the inside of the plastic cover till it gets some lent on it and place the phone inside of the case for a second take it back out wipe the iphone screen off to take most of the lent off and bam put it back together no more watermarks!!!!!!!!

  • yeah but one drop on a hard surface from pocket height and you can most likely kiss it goodbye.

  • this will work great as long as its a screen protector that has a matte finish, or non glossy finish. so no the invisible shield or skullcandy ones wont work trust me ive tried. with the ones that arent matte finish will still watermark or bubble. the cheaper thin matte finish ones work best, like 10 bucks for a pack of three at the AT&T store, i'm sure they'd put it on for you for free too, cuz they're a little tricky sometimes. they put mine on for me. works great
