What about the parents that are disrespectful to their children? Children learns to respect from the parents. If the parent is disrepectul toward the child the child will return the same because that's what they learned. Parent is angry at child and the parent yell a child all his/her life, what do you think the child will do as a teen and/or adult...it's a learned attibute!! Respect is earned not just given...

@fif18 since he freed us from our penalty of sin, that means that now I can do whatever I want without paying the price such as adultery, murder, stealing, etc.

@amna72391 God WILL forgive you; he is full of mercy. b/c it is written Romans 3:22-24 We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are. 23 For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. 24 Yet God, with undeserved kindness, declares that we are righteous. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sin.

I have a question...What if we have disrespected our parents before, but vow not to do it again? I lost control with my mother and said some disrespectful stuff to her. I really regret it though. I have asked her to forgive me but she says she won't. Will Allah forgive me if I never do it again?
