He was just pointing out the patents to create a segway for the capntrade / ccx ties between fannie and the rest of crime inc.

Fannie is publicly owned, using our dollars, to either do boondoggle patents, serve inappropriate interests of a few of their employees, or to further executive agendas in other sectors (unrelated to home loans). The patents are a strong link between Fannie and the rest of Crime Inc

I also love Glenn but on this point he is in crazy town. The real problem with Fannie is NOT that they have a patent on this little device (which is easily defeated) but that the taxpayers are having to clean up the financial mess Fannie and Freddie made.
