  • The correct name for the last example is lead (II) phosphate because the cation in the compound is Pb 2+. The roman numeral represents the charge of the cation, not how many cations there are in the compound. Hope this helps.

  • @ChemAssistBeta How to you know that the charge is going to be plus or minus in the exponent area?

  • @animedrawergirl You just have to memorize the formulas for the ions, along with the charges that they carry
