  • Fried Green Tomatoes is one of my very favorite movies, (in the top ten) and also one of my favorite foods. This video IS a treat... I've been in the Whistle Stop Cafe a couple of times several years ago, and their food is wonderful. I'm hoping to make it back there at some point. Driving Miss Daisy is also one of my favorite movies. I know Mississippi and Georgia are separated by Alabama, but I just saw "The Help" (set in Mississippi) and it would be great if you made one of these vids for it.

  • @rfm2ckt I just saw The Help today. Great movie. Thanks for watching! -Jim

  • This was such a treat to see! I started crying when you looked into the Cafe. It looks just the same. I am so glad to know it wasn't all just a set. It's really there. And the kicker was the windowpane! Thank you soooo much for doing this. My mother are I are smiling ear to ear right now. Btw- you say "tomatoes" the same way they say it in the movie. Cute.

  • @uhuher Glad you liked it, Larisa. It's just like in the movie. :) I also did a video, showing all the places where Driving Miss Daisy was filmed in Atlanta. -Jim

  • I've walked down this very road and did indeed eat at the Whistle Stop Cafe and bought honey...wonderful! Took many pictures of us, up and down the street. "they probably get tired of all the tourists...", you said. I say NOT, that is the only way those folks stay open. LOL. Very friendly folks in every store. We have met Tim Scott, after he made Lonesome Dove. He has since died. Good job on the video. Did you drive on out to the Jarrell Plantation? Do that sometime....

  • My hometown, best place on Earth!
