Another of my favorite Tull acoustics.

Recorded using a cheap MXL condenser mic, and a Seagull Grand 'parlor' size guitar. Camera was a Nikon D90 in HD video mode.

  • how did you connect your mic the d90 when there are no external outputs for mics? please help!

  • @shaneika09 Just do it like filmmakers tend to do and use an external recording source, then put the soundtrack together with the video when you edit. In this case, I have the mics running through a mixer and into a laptop to record audio. You could also use one of those handheld digital recorders with external mic inputs.

  • Very nice job, played accurately and well, nice chops, but sounds too rushed, slow it down a bit bite into the strings with the rhythm feel and dynamics it needs, sorry but I just watched Ian himself on a youtube video doing Wondering Aloud with a string section. Wow. Unfair comparison I guess, sorry

  • Well now, you sound like a proper music critic, lol! Thanks for the crit outerrealm ;-)

  • Thank you!!! I've been a Tull fan for over thirty-five years. I've been trying to find lessons on Mother Goose, but no one has releast a video on YouTube. Could you make a video lesson on Mother Goose? Best Regards, Kevin

  • Hey Kevin, Mother Goose lesson is up, follow the link at the end of this vid...

  • loving this my friend, great job

  • Dude, I am a long-time Tull fan and have seen them a few times...you do a great job on this. Guitar playing is fluid and your vocals sound spot on. Cheers mate!

  • dude,,that sounds good for sure

  • JETHRO TULL IS ONE OF THE ALL-TIME GREAT ROCK GROUPS. IAN ANDERSON IS SUCH A GREAT SONG-WRITER

  • That is the best Tull cover I have heard yet. You re-worked it slightly but it is an excellent arrangement. Your voice sounds like Ian but much better and with less of Ian's nasal twang. Bravo!

  • Nice take on one of my favorite Tull tunes. I like your rendition. Also like the sound of that guitar. I have a very old Lyon & Healey parlor guitar that I've been thinking about fixing. I hope I can get this sound out of it when I get done with it.

  • almost 13k views only after 2 years ? that s sick

  • Great playing and you have a good Ian Anderson voice! I agree with the comment that it was a little fast, but it was still great.

  • wud b better if u didnt try to sound like ian anderson. do u have guitar pro? il send u a decent tab some parts hear were way out

  • Tay Zonday!
