*I am aware of the pix that are of Linda Lovelace and not Althea, I have them corrected in my annotations but I realize not everyone has them on. But just wanted to say this before getting another correction comment. Also, if you don't like the effects in this video, I will probably put a new one up soon which will be more like a boring slideshow just because of the feedback about effects I have gotten on this video. Though, if you're a fan of Althea's and/or wish to know more about her, it's not my job to provide you with pix, I made this for other fans, yes, but if you don't like it, maybe you should just do the work and find the pix (which are rare) yourself before insulting something someone else put work into.... not trying to be bitchy, just saying*... This is a tribute to Althea Flynt, the wife of Larry Flynt, born Althea Leasure. She was born November 6th 1953 and sadly passed away when she drowned on June 27th 1987. She was married to Hustler Magazine's creater and freedom of speech advocate, Larry Flynt. Althea was the the co-publisher of the magazine and was also a strong advocate for freedom of speech. No matter how you feel about her, Courtney Love portrayed her wonderfully and chillingly in the 1996 movie, "The People Vs. Larry Flynt". Woody Harrelson played Larry Flynt.
Althea's father shot her mother and grandfather when she was 8 and was sent to an orphanage until she ran away as a teenager and became a stripper. She met Flynt when she was applying for a job at his club in Cincinnati, Ohio
Although married to Flynt, Althea was bisexual (as scripted in the movie, she told Larry, that she, as well as he, was sleeping with other strippers in the club) and did not subscribe to the idea of monogmy. She was Hustler magazine's first life size centerfold. . During their 11 year marraige she was involved with the management and publication of Hustler magazine, she continued to run the magazine and kept it afloat during Larry's brief return to religion in 1977. Althea had had bad experiences in the orphanages and supported Flynt but was not happy with his conversion (the movie made implications of sexual abuse by the nuns at the orphanage).
Althea began using pain medication which was prescribed for Larry when he was shot in 1978.
She was diagnosed with AIDS in 1983. There was speculation about the drug use being responsible for her contracting the disease.
However, Flynt claims she contracted the disease from a blood transfusion during a hysterectomy. He has stated Althea always used clean needles.
Althea died at age 33 when she tragically passed out and drowned after using drugs on June 27, 1987. Larry Flynt has stated because of the stage of her illness, Althea would have died within years either way.

I find it kinda odd that very few Pic's of Althea are out to the public esp being married to a guy who made his money selling pic's,she was a very beautiful woman..

@tashaLuv1 I agree, these were literally the ONLY pix I could find after hours of searching. But I heard that after she got sick, he became very protective of her and she wasn't photographed often because of it.
