A306 - これは私の二番のアキラリミックス。歌うのおとは90%ごろ英語と日本語の映画から導き出しました。

This is version 2 of my AKIRA remix video which is about 90% composed with sounds (both Japanese and English versions) from the Motion Picture animated film AKIRA (1988). SKIP TO: Pt. 2 1:44 , Pt. 3 2:48

This version of "Customize" includes parts 1-3 of my AKIRA remix / music video project. Each part is in chronological order with the chapters of the film and each part is linked/segued with one another.
Pt. 1: Easter Jump (Bike Chase & Capsule Bar)
Pt. 2: Magnificent (decent to Olympic stadium sublevel)
Pt. 3: Akira synth reprise (Tetsuo's 2nd apprehension, Battle at Olympic stadium, and Flashbacks)

2019 Neo Tokyo is about to E.X.P.L.O.D.E, and my head almost asploded from the many, many hours it took to put this together so please enjoy! This remix is about half PITCH and half WARP beat synced.

Commentary:
Many crtics consider AKIRA to be "the" masterpiece of not only Japanimation but cell animation in general. Not only did a legion of animators work 12 hours a day for months to make this film visually astounding, but the storyline itself is beyond science fiction; it contains nearly every possible genre in storytelling: action, crime, gangsters, romance, drama, science (physics & biomedics), psionics, theology, occultism, apocalypse, futurism, dystopianism, politics, corruption etc. To top it off, one of the most profound, yet underlying, elements of this movie is the clash of the most uncivilized aspects of the aforementioned genres with the most civilized; namely, near savage punk gangsters with the most respected and intelligent scientists and government agents. For these reasons, the word AKIRA to me is synonymous with "epic".

I heard recently that Warner Brothers, in conjunction with Sony Pictures, plans to reproduce a live action, and possibly Americanized, version of AKIRA. After nearly 20 years of rights and capability negotiations, this project is closer than ever to the green light. With production imminent, all that remains to do is put the Americanized script to use and cast American actors to play the lead rolls of Kaneda and Tetsuo (Karl & Ted respectively).

This neglect of authenticity whilst handling the overlord of anime feature films got my blood boiling so I started to read up on it a bit further and discovered a petition formulated by the NPO "Racebending" which encourages Hollywood from "white-washing" this masterpiece of Japanese animated cinema. Interestingly, the spokesperson for this cause is Asian American actor George Takei. The following links lead to Racebending's AKIRA Facebook page and an overview of the project in the works.

I hope that you become involved and the true AKIRA fans efforts will, in eventuality, convince Hollywood that AKIRA's true fans will become very disappointed if the movie is bigoted enough to be set in "New Manhattan" with Caucasian actors and 9/11 allegories- as such has been surmised.

Support SONY Pictures and Pioneer. Go out and buy the original film if you haven't already. Many consider this to be the Bible of anime motion pictures. The more people know about the original brilliance of this film (and the graphic novel it derived from), the more people will come to support an authentic script and reproduction of the classic AKIRA in live action!

  • @aeopmusic Thanks man! Awesome work by the way! Working on anything new? Take any request? I would love to see you do something like this with Ichi The Killer!

  • @nights1515

Funny, I actually bought Ichi The Killer a few months ago and I think it's one of the dumbest movies I now own. The only thing dumber was the fact that I paid $20 for the stupid import! So maybe! I mean, i did SHAFT.

  • ONLY 179 VIEWS? WTF? No seriously, this remix alone overshadows a lot of other "glitchers" whole libraries. Amazing remix.

  • Of all the remix / fan videos I've seen on youtube (Of anything) this is by far the best!

You totally rock aeopmusic. That can't have been easy.

    ^_^

  • @aeopmusic Fair enough I loved the movie myself and it seems the more I watch it the more I like itbut to each his own. It's just I've always thought the movie had a killer soundtrack that was depressing and hectic so that collided with sounds from the movie could make an amazing song.

  • Whoa, I love the bass line during the tetsuo part! Awesome groove when the bass volume is up!

  • @Inhabitational Awesome, thanks!
