yeah it's pretty weird. but the advantage is that we can reserve the best seats in the cinema online. Or imagine if you go there with 10 friends and want all to sit in a row. In germany no problem :P

i was sitting in the cinema the other day and i thought about this vid and i found it so halarious that german ppl still stay in their assigned seat even though its empty. and the fact that its ok to sit with ppl at their tables sounds pretty cool, though i mite be a bit alarmed at first though.

@Rupietta That depends where you live in germany. Where I live you can say if you want sweet or salty, but I visited one of my friends in south germany and there was only sweet. Austria got mostly (or only) salty popcorn. So it depends.

@Killerkarpfen1990 To meet people, do things you enjoy doing. Participate in group sports or contests or join meetup groups. Find a German culture meetup group in your area and help people with the language. Germans tend to be very forgiving toward those learning their language!

I think whether you can share tables depends on the part of the US. Here in Colorado we even have community tables and it is not uncommon to ask people who are dining alone to join you. I may be more friendly than average, though.

We have the same cinema system in Norway :P But if its empty, u just pick whatever seat u want

@S0lidState I was just being satirical of myself, and if you want to know; I train dogs at my local animal shelter. I enjoy my job, dogs are like my babies to me.
