I used General's charcoal pencils (Of varying hardness), blending stumps, a .5mm mechanical pencil, kneaded eraser, and my hands.. Kinda.

How did you blend with such clarity? When I practice blending my charcoal ends up too deeply blended

Blending stumps and toritllions(sp?) work best for charcoal blending. I would definitely recommend using a harder object to blend rather than a soft one because, naturally, a softer blending material will make the edges very soft.

What did you use to draw this? Just getting into art especially drawing big cats. What do you recommend?

Omg.... that's absolutly gorgeous :D i'm making a drawing of my own ^^" but it's going to be hard to put in dark lights since my deer in the picture are twins and they're both white. But it's oaky since the background will either be a black or dark blue color and the ground with be a dark green for grass. The lighting will be white as well and the saying 'Sisters of the storm' will either be in white or yellow. i might do white.
