  • it's quite insensitive to call braiders "the Africans". if someone said "the african americans" relaxed my hair blablabla would you like it? Maybe yes, maybe no, but i don't know... it just doesn't sound right. And most people charged about 125-150 (max 200 and that would depend on how much hair you have and what length you want) as it is a time consuming and skillful process. So $15/twist is a complete rip off. Research before going to salons, simple as that.

    Nice braids in the video.

  • WHAT TYPE OF HAIR DID YOU USE?

  • hi can u tell me what kind of hair to use if i cant find the same kind u use, to still get thr same look at the end of the hair. thankx.

  • do these twist make your hair grow

  • @Marush i understand but how else do we go about calling them

  • @RhymeDyme Braids like this are African so of course they are going to call their shop African hair braiding. That's not the problem. If u want to refer to the braiders who did your hair (whether she messed it up or did them very well), you should refer to her either by her/their names or use things like "some, a couple of, 2/3/4, etc." since you are talking about those ladies. African is a beautiful word & identity and should be used but don't call 2 people "THE AfricanS". Can we agree on that?

  • @RhymeDyme ...refers to the 2 people as "THE BlackS/THE African AmericanS", it feels like an attack on a group. I bet if a white person told you the same thing she said in the video, (as in "THE BlackS did my hair this way"), you will not be happy. And I don't know you to say that I'm sure about it so if you don't take offense to that coming from a non-black person, more power to you. I just think that once someone lets you know you've offend them, it should be acknowledge because it's relative.

  • @RhymeDyme I think there's complete miscommunication here. If you say: "This African lady (or ladies) that braided me did this and that", you are referring to those specific ladies. When you say "THE AfricanS did this and that" you are referring to all Africans pure and simple. When I made the earlier comment about African American/Black, I was not implying that the word Black would be more offensive (I use it myself over AA) but that if 2 AA/Black people something to someone and the person...
