There are so many examples to be followed by this group that are applicable to many people. They advocated an end to the war but they were not pacifists, they believed firmly in God but they were not judgmental, they were steadfastly against their government but not their people. The movie V for Vendetta put it nicely - Beneath this mask there is more than flesh. Beneath this mask there is an idea, Mr. Creedy, and ideas are bulletproof.

Very well summarised. Freedom of Speech and belief should be emphasized in every corner on Earth. Nobody should be wasted by fighting for them. Even now, there are number of oppression going on over the World. They might not lose their lives like Sophie, but there are people like her who are wrongly accused, condemned, tortured and worse. The World still need voices for freedom.

one thing i always loved that sophie said is even though evil reigns the sun still shines very wise words.
