Re: Broken N95 after the new firmware update in the U.S.

Here is another video showing different aspects of the problem that I am currently encountering. Consider my first video showing problems of general usage, and this one of reboot and keypad lock. When you consider these 2 videos, you will understand that the phone is unusable in any phase --turning on the phone, finding a contact, calling someone, turning Bluetooth on/off, locking the keypad, even turning off the phone, since sometimes it doesn't turn off!

1) In the first reboot you will see that after entering my pin code an utter white screen pops up as a transition to the main screen.

2) Unlike the first reboot, in the second reboot you will see that, the "code error" prompt, after I enter a mistaken pin, and the "code accepted" prompt, after I enter the correct pin, moves slightly rightwards.

In fact this has got nothing to do with entering a mistaken pin, since this happens many times regardless of the pin you enter. Sometimes the screen goes dark right after entering a pin code. Sometimes after entering a pin if I press the red hang up button instead of waiting for the introduction screen to elapse --two hands meet each other you know- the screen again goes dark.

3) In the very same second reboot you will also see that when I slide down the slider, instead of key pads are being locked, all the icons messes up! --they mix between each other and colors of them change! (I ensure you this is not a new theme of Nokia for your screen!)

4) You will also see that after sliding up and down the slider again, the keypad doesn't lock up.

5) After sliding up and pressing exit to omit the "new voice message" alert, the screen goes dark immediately!

6) Finally, after sliding up and down again, the keypad gets locked. However, as you will see, whenever the keypad gets locked, the dedicated gallery button flashes on and off 2 times. I am not 100% sure whether this was happening before with the older firmwares, but as far as I remember, it did not.

I ensure you the things that you have just seen happen in every combination. It can be worse. Sometimes the screen goes completely yellow etc.

FYI: The problem turned out to be with the ribbon of the LCD. Many people have it. Nokia repairs it (replaces the LCD). Nokia is consistent as to dealing with this problem. Nokia replaced the LCD of someone's LCD in Polond, U.S. and Norway.

Before you update your new firmware you should check the phone memory first.. need to reset it first then update if the memory not enought so the phone will broke... if 1-2KB not enough is same problem so you should check the memory of phone and the memory of new firmware needed first then update it.,. i havent update my phone yet but i will sometime..

@1Delu is not forever. You must reflash the mobile (is more than a firmware installation). Go to GSM Service...is the only way.

I just hate Nokia Updater!!! The are Unfair that i don't have the option to downgrade it if i'm not glad about the nwe firmware. Nokia 5uck5! DON'T DO UPDATE ANYMORE! NO MORE!

You can try HARD RESET

Press call key (green) + 3 + * + on and hold 5sec or longer remember press all comination together

and at this first turn off phone.

if you dont get it.. try google
