I try to eat sushi in every town, city, country I visit, yes it is my favorite food, which makes me a bit picky when I eat it.
Shima Sushi Reatairant in Victoria BC Canada didn't let me down, their fish was very fresh and tasty, prepred very well. Walking in there is a small area but downstairs is were the action is. A beautiful relax bright open room to eat all those great dishes from their extensive menu. Do give them a try, checkout theitr website below.

About Shima Sushi
Shima Sushi Bar and Lounge features an eclectic menu of Japanese cuisine.
The word Shima means island and what better place to have such a restaurant than on Vancouver Island in Beautiful British Columbia.
We are situated, at 1218 Wharf street, in one of the oldest and historically vibrant structures in Victoria. Originally occupied by James Yates, in 1853 it became The Ship Inn, a saloon and liquor warehouse, boasting the first license to sell booze in Victoria. The stone walls, laid in a Halifax style, may have been built by the Hudson Bay Company French merchants.
We offer an inviting and casual ambience with a subtle Japanese feel.
Our Staff
Our talented kitchen team is lead by owner and head chef, John Ngo, who has been passionate about cooking Japanese cuisine since he started out in the family business at age 16.
His vision behind Shima Sushi is to offer an "east meets west" version of Japanese cuisine that is both well-priced and delicious.
