Cars coming out of the pits to the start line for the Vintage Sports Car Club's Edwardian Race at Mallory Park, August 23 2009. Cars are, in order;

1914/18 Vauxhall AD
1917 Dodge Four
1907 Metallurgique Maybach 3STR (fitted with a WW1 Zeppelin engine!)
1911 Sunbeam 16/20
1912 Sunbeam Coupe De L'auto
1913/18 Vauxhall Viper Special (fitted with WW1 SE5a Wolseley Viper engine - sometimes used as Home Defence Fighters to shoot down Zeppelins!)
1911 Scat Racer
1912 De Dion Bouton (fitted with Curtiss OX engine, also a WW1 aero engine)
1913 Theophile Schneider Grand Prix
1913 Peugeot 148
1913 Theophile Schneider Aero Special
1914 Sunbeam Tourist Trophy
1908 Panhard-Levassor Grand Prix
1911 Delage Couple De L'auto

  • I heard a lot of accidents in those cars were the result of a poorly responding steering wheel. Is that true?

  • Bet the drivers are going like "c'mon, c'mon, c'mon, TURN you piece of shit!"

  • i am the guy outside the blue tent with jamie my son we have the Napier bentley exhaust stubs as uplighters they still smoke when hot!!!!!!!!!!!!
