But for so long, the exact location and the place where this mountain can be found is a staple of debate among archeologists and bible historians. According to the Greek historian Herodotus (425 BC) the Egyptian priests told him Egypt is the land watered by the Nile, land not watered by the Nile is not Egypt. He also said Arabia bordered the Nile. The Christian Pilgrimess Egeria (415 AD) was told by monks Arabia bordered the Nile. Ron Wyatt claims Egypt extended to the Gulf of Aqaba. He is wrong as the Nile does not reach Aqaba.
