This video is from the 1996 vernal equinox open mike performance. This is a completely unrehearsed performance, so what you hear and see is the first-time performance as a trio. The bassist and drummer were given the music to listen to, and from there we just played it (you can see the drummer charts). The guitarist has been playing Jimi's music in bands starting around 1973. For those who are curious, the amp being use is a Fender Blues Junior driving a 66 bandmaster cabinet. The amp master volume was probably around 5, the volume around 7-8.

  • Glad you found this one! I use a simple y-chord (1 male to 2 female 1/4 jacks). The speaker load for the amp is 8 ohms, so I changed out the main speaker to 16 ohms and wired the two 8 ohm speakers in the cab in series for a 16 ohm load. But as it turns out, because Fender amps are so forgiving, you could use the stock 8 ohm speaker with an 8 ohm cab for a 4 ohm load.
