  • me wants some Bobby Jo!

  • @Fordman42 Because there is country, and then there is COUNTRY where most city folk dare not to go

  • at least it's in hooterville!!!

  • omg this song is so naughty lol

  • Great song, but the transfer to Youtube needs some work. You can hardly hear Earl or Josh Graves and the snare drum is too loud.

  • this song is dirty!!

"Lotsa curves, you bet. Even more when you get

    To the junction, Petticoat Junction....

And that's Uncle Joe, he's a movin' kind of slow at the junction,

    Petticoat Junction "

all i know is some of my happiest moments have been spent at the petticoat junction

  • ... if you listen to the theme in the early b/w shows, Curt's vocal track is the same, but the "PJ" shout by the girls is very different, it's much louder and not as high pitched. Then of course Billie and Bobbie Jo were played by different actresses at that time, so maybe it was that lineup that did it, and when the lineup changed in season 3 and slightly again in season 4, it could have been that later lineup.

Still it could have been studio girl singers that did the chant in the early shows.

  • The shout of "PETTICOAT JUNCTION!" in this version of the theme song, sounds like Elly May Clampett! Is that by chance Donna Douglas's voice we hear? I'm not sure who does the chant in the TV version, I know the themes writer Curt Massey sang the

TV version, but who did the PJ shout. I'm not sure if it's the actresses who played the Bradley girls or if it's studio singers. Perhaps both. Maybe in the b/w shows it studio singers, then in the color shows it's the Bradley girls themselves..
