The orginal Disneys shorts are pretty good but I think the Lantz versions are slightly more sophisticated.

That kid have been a total dick to Oswald, but Oswald beats the kid in the end.

LMFAO @ 1:16 Oswald thought the kid just took a piss on the floor, but it's really the ceiling dripping water. XD

I HATE THIS !

the "it aint going to rain no more" is about the dust bowl.

@BazookaBuhnull The baby is Marlin Mutt—and the girl is Poodles Hound (more common in Lantz's Pooch the Pup cartoons; God knows why Oswald is dating her here).

These black-and-white Oswald shorts once had the chance to be colorized. As a matter of fact, the Oswald cartoon The Toy Shoppe was used as a test, and its colored version came out pretty good. Too bad Universal rejected the offer.

Oswald's voice is sounding like Mickey Mouse's.

Although the baby is annoying, his cuteness seems undeniable. Anyway, Oswald got even with him in the end.

Do you know that the bunny in the title card is how Oswald would look like in later cartoons? In an attempt to improve that character's appearance, Lantz choosed Moreno to do it. Apparently, this change wasn't well received by viewers and therefore lead to Oswald's exit from the screen. Perhaps the animators shouldn't have bothered in the first place. And even if they did, they should have revert.

A certain company had the movie Casablanca colored. Perhaps it might be great to have some of these black-and-white cartoons colorized too.

Awesome, I was looking for more Oswald videos, thanks for putting up this one, I haven't seen it yet. =) I prefer Oswald's older Disney-style designs, he's more of a kid in the Lantz shorts (and looks more like a puppy than a rabbit), and his eyes look creepy - but he's still Oswald, and it's cool to see him fight the fish, this incarnation of him doesn't fight enough. :D
I really hate the little baby though, he's always causing trouble for Oswald, seemingly for the sake of causing trouble. :p

@Greatsaiyakirby Interesting fact: the scenes where Oswald's eyes are the largest were actually animated by a young Fred "Tex" Avery.
