For all of DJ's bleating in '82 about that rear wing on the Falcon it turned out to be the teams own suspension settings that were slowing the big ford down. The car had been lowered about 2-3 inches more than it needed to be and as such the suspension just couldn't handle the little amount of travel but by the time DJR found out the big rear spoiler was already homologated and in use.
