Great video!! I have a Mk4 and love it, (I am on my 3rd!), never liked the Mk5 GTi as I didn't like the rear bumper, but I think I will replace mine with a Mk6 at some point! Well done VW :-)

lol,the Mk 3 & 4 were/are not even deserving the GTI's badge.. poor handling,under powered,and a horrible chassis .. words not associated with the first of the Hot Hatches (excluding the Alfa Sud).. great little cars still... but then came the FOSi Turbo charged units.. & boy they've done there work here.. massively. I personally went for the E30 GTI,with a standard 230 bhp,30 bhp more than the stock GTI,plus only 1500 ever built.. for me,the GTi to own.. (imo)

Go for it! I bought a Mk6 last week and I've already put 500 miles on it driving up and down the California coastline. I've also driven a Mk4 20th Anniversary Edition and I have to say the new one is a big improvement in every category!

@macthewesty I also had a GTI mk4 and i sold it to take o golf GTI mk5 and even though i loved the mk4 i loved more the mk5, and as well as the new mk6 all of them are perfectly made, beautiful and hot sports cars

Test drove the mark 6 today. It is now very, very balanced and fun. The feeling of great (compact) luxury is there. You can tell why the car was reworked. The interior is truly amazing, sewn together and formed solid as stone. The engine and manual gearshift are SMOOTH flowing power bands now... there is no sense of chunky, jerky shifts here. Revised 2.0 engine shines ... high revving, smooth molten power propels you in luxury. Just prepare for the oil changes.
