I saw this exact same video on the same channel 2 years ago with a guy narrating. I think it's still up, actually.

@Horseyhorsehorseface Thank you for clarifying. Ray at CPR Rescuers.com in Arizona taught us that - I encourage you to contact him for more clarification about his research on hands-only CPR not as effective.

@lovsoup Sorry, that's just not true. A study was done several years ago monitoring Arizona paramedics - who use hands only CPR - and they found a higher survival rate when compared to old rescue breath method. There is enough oxegen in the blood to keep a person healthy for a little while. Do you think the Red Cross would have implemented this without studying it first? They are actually very conservative in what they implement, and are several years behind on this one.

hands-only CPR is a Myth that is NOT better than the real thing. Having been updated with my CPR recently the instructor said if you think this would work..... Hold your breath for 8 min and get back to us........ mouth to mouth is needed!!

Hi, I'm a BLS instructor at Philippine Red Cross. i just want to ask why we need to give compressions already when there is no breathing? it is possible that there is still pulse right? so why not check pulse first? Thank You!
