@brettsheakirk the first christians; the nazirites, did 3 things to show respect to god,
1) they didnt annoint their fore head (shows submission to god)
2) they didnt eat meat or wear animal skins
3) they did not shave or cut their hair.
that verse said was pauls way of teaching men not to have long hair, because the men in corinth at the time were considerd sexual abusers and gay if they had long hair. god or the bible does not say men cannot have long hair, it is pauls opinion. and thats why

@brettsheakirk the first christians; the nazirites, followed certain laws to show god that they were apart of him, they did 3 things in particular. 1) they didnt annoint their foreheads with oil (shows submission to god) 2) they did not eat meat (considered unholy in gods precanse) 3) they did not shave or cut their hair. the perfect example of a true nazirite would be samson. he cut his hair, wore animal skin and annointed himself, and he lost his strength in god. thats why jesus hair ws long

It is actually thought that Jesus had short hair. People aren't sure where the idea or pictures of him having long hair but they are pretty sure that he has short hair. Not that it really matters.
