How to knit/garter stitch

Also know as knit stitch/plain stitch

This is the most basic of stitches.

Once you have cast on (see video how to cast on stitches) insert the right needle into the first stitch on the left needle.

With your right hand bring the wool around the right needle in an anticlockwise direction towards you.
Using the tip of the right needle create a loop with this wool and slip the loop (stitch) onto the right needle.

Continue until all stitches on the left needle are on the right needle. Then turn it round i.e. place the needle with all the stitches back in your left hand and repeat the steps above.
